I made this page because I loved Passion...It was the best of all the 2nd season episodes. This is my appriciation of that episode....and a darn good waste of web space :-)
...the poem...
Passion...
It lies in all of us....Sleeping....Waiting...
And though unwanted, Unbidden...it will stir... Open its jaws,
And howl
It speaks to us...guides us...
Passion rules us all.
And we obey. What other choice do we have?
Passion is the source of our finest moments.
The joy of love... the clarity of hatred...
The ecstacy of grief.
It hurts sometimes more than we can bear.
If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace.
But we would be hollow.
Empty rooms, shuttered and dank...
Without passion, we'd be truly dead.

Yeah, yeah, I know I said I wouldn't do 2nd season eps, but this one is the source of that lovely poem, so I am making an exception! 'Sides, it is a kicking episode, I like it more than the Becomings!

In this episode, Angel has *become* Angelus, and is stalking in the shadows, while also narrating throughout, and leaving envelopes with little suprises for his prey, for Buffy an envelope with a charcoal picture of her asleep. It dawns on Buffy that when he was after Dru, the first sign of his *love* was killing her family. She wants to warn her mom, but Giles insists that it'll all be alright so long as she doesn't pay him any attention.
Basically, just hush up and hope he'll go away.
Thankfully, Jenny and Giles finally connect, after she accidently professes her feelings to him, and tells him she'll meet him at his apartment that night. But not all feelings are lovey dovey, for Spike is angry with his crippleness (is that a word?) and though Dru brings him a puppy to eat, named Sunshine, he refuses to be fed like a child, and Angelus uses this as a medium for sndie remarks, worsening the hate between them. Dru also envisions that someone is going to hurt them bad.
Meanwhile, Angel is doing mischief of his own, starting with a chat with Buffy's mom, confessing of their *ahem* previous relationship, and this is a trumatizing experience for Buffy's mom, and gives her daughter "The Talk".
Jenny, deperately wanting to make it up to Buffy, is working on a spell to give Angel back his soul, and buys an Orb of Thesala to do it with. That night, Jenny stays late at school, tranlating the old language in which the soul spell is written in. Just as she finishes it, and saves it on a yellow disk, and starts to print it out, Angel appears, invited by the sign saying enter all ye who seeks knowledge ( ye who seek? Is this an old school or what?) and Jenny runs for her life (hard to do in heels) but Angel finally catches and kills her.
But no, Angel wouldn't stop there *the sicko*. He goes to Giles apartment and leaves a lovely trail of roses, champagne, cute cards in curvy handwriting, the lot. Giles walks upstairs expecting a passionate embrace, but instead, a corpse in his bed.
